Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs Harry Theoharis’ visit to the Czech Republic (Prague, 05-06.02.2026)

Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs, Harry Theoharis, paid a visit to Prague in the context of strengthening bilateral relations between Greece and the Czech Republic, with particular emphasis on cooperation in the fields of economy, industry and investment.

During his visit, the Deputy Minister held successive meetings with Czech government officials and institutional stakeholders. In particular, he met with the Deputy Minister of Industry and Trade, Jan Sechter; the Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs, Jiří Brodský;the Vice President of the Association of Defense and Security Industry of the Czech Republic (AOBP), Kristýna Helm; and the Vice-President of the Confederation of Industry of the Czech Republic (SPCR), Radek Špicar.

The meetings focused on prospects for enhancing economic cooperation, developing industrial partnerships and promoting investment opportunities between the two countries.

The program concluded with an official dinner hosted by the Czech-Hellenic Chamber of Commerce in honor of the Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs.

“Greece is actively advancing a modern and outward-looking economic diplomacy, aimed at creating new opportunities for businesses and strengthening its presence in the markets of Central Europe. The Czech Republic is a reliable partner in this endeavor, and the visit made a substantive contribution to the further deepening of our bilateral relations.

We attach particular importance to cooperation in the fields of industry, energy, infrastructure, innovation and the defense industry, where tangible examples of investment and production partnerships are already taking shape".
