Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs, responsible for European Affairs, Tasos Chatzivasileiou, travelled to Trogir, Croatia, on Wednesday, September 30, on the occasion of the MED9 Meeting of Ministers and Deputy Ministers responsible for European Affairs.
Alongside the main event, Mr Chatzivasileiou held bilateral meetings with his Slovenian and Maltese counterparts, Tamara Weingerl Požar and Chris Fearne.
Furthermore, the Deputy Minister held an one-on-one meeting with his Croatian counterpart, Andreja Metelko-Zgombić.
He also exchanged views with his French and Portuguese counterparts, Benjamin Haddad and Inês Domingos, concerning the Multiannual Financial Framework (2028–2034), in light of the relevant discussions among EU Member States.
It is noted that the Greek Deputy Minister’s visit forms part of the preparatory contacts ahead of the forthcoming Summit of the Heads of State or Government of the MED9 Member States, scheduled for 7 October 2026 in Split, Croatia.
