Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs, Yiannis Loverdos, expressed the unwavering respect and support of the Greek State for the mission of the Ecumenical Patriarchate during the meeting with His All Holiness Ecumenical Patriarch Bartholomew on Friday, March 28, in Istanbul. For his part, the Ecumenical Patriarch congratulated the Deputy Minister on assuming his new duties and thanked him for Greece’s continuous interest and support.
The meeting took place during the Deputy Minister’s visit to Istanbul. During his stay, Mr. Loverdos attended the Service of the Fourth Stanza of the Salutations to the Most Holy Theotokos over which Ecumenical Patriarch Bartholomew presided at the Patriarchal Church. Deputy Minister also held a meeting with the Association for the Support of Greek Community Foundations.
