Travel documents for minors - Greece
When a minor of Greek nationality travels abroad accompanied by both parents, depending on the destination, a valid ID card or passport issued by the Greek Authorities is sufficient.
Alternatively, if traveling with only one parent/legal guardian, the minor should hold, along with a valid ID/passport, a written Declaration of Consent, signed by the other parent/legal guardian, stating the permission of the travel. The signature has to be validated by the competent Greek Authorities (such as the Citizens’ Service Centers).
When traveling with an adult other than their parents or legal guardian, minors require a written Declaration of Consent signed by both parents, in which they clearly state that they allow the minor to travel. The signatures also have to be validated by the competent Greek Authorities (such as the Citizens’ Service Centers).
Minors from other EU countries traveling to Greece also need to hold a similar declaration with the parents' signatures validated by the competent authorities of their country of residence/origin or the Greek Consular Authorities or the Hellenic Police.
