After 5.5 years of service as Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs, responsible for Economic Diplomacy and Openness, I conclude my tenure today and hand over my duties. This decision was made for personal reasons, with absolute respect for the values and principles we upheld during this journey.
I would like to express my gratitude to the Prime Minister, Mr. Kyriakos Mitsotakis, for the trust he placed in me and for the excellent cooperation we shared throughout these years. His guidance was pivotal to the success of our efforts and to highlighting Greece as a dynamic and outward-looking country.
I extend special thanks to the Minister of Foreign Affairs, Mr. Giorgos Gerapetritis, for our collaboration and his support in our joint endeavors. Together, we worked to promote our country’s national interests and strengthen our international standing.
Warm thanks also go to my fellow Deputy Ministers and Secretaries General at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, all members of the government, my colleagues at the Ministry, and the institutions that contributed to our work. Each one, with their dedication and contributions, was an integral part of this collective effort.
I feel deeply honored to have had the opportunity to contribute, in my role, to advancing economic diplomacy, enhancing the country’s openness, and attracting significant investments. I am proud of the work we accomplished together and optimistic about Greece’s future.
Although I am stepping down from this position, I remain ready to support our homeland in any way necessary.
