The Director of the Hellenic Diplomatic Academy (HDA), Ambassador Michael Diamesis, visited Paris at the invitation of the French Diplomatic and Consular Academy, in order to represent the HDA at the event “La Fabrique de la Diplomatie” of French Ministry for Europe and Foreign Affairs, held on 5 and 6 September 2025.
In the framework of the event, the Director of the HDA signed with his French counterpart, Mr. Didier Le Bret, the “Roadmap for strengthening the cooperation between Greece and France in the field of diplomatic and consular training.” This Roadmap reflects the firm commitment of the two Academies to broaden their cooperation, focusing on current needs and challenges in the field of diplomatic training expressing their shared conviction that enhancing this cooperation will contribute to the deepening of bilateral relations. The signing of the Roadmap builds upon a series of regular contacts that began in February 2024 with the adoption of the Roadmap of cooperation between the Ministries of Foreign Affairs of Greece and France, and continued with the meetings of the Directors of the two Academies in Paris (November 2024) and Athens (May 2025).
On the margins of the event, the Director of the HDA held, also, bilateral meetings with the Directors of the Diplomatic Academies of Cyprus, Egypt, Hungary, Bulgaria, Serbia, Slovenia and Haiti, focusing on the exchange of experiences and the exploration of opportunities for cooperation.
