Alternate Minister of Foreign Affairs Miltiadis Varvitsiotis will participate via videoconference in a round of meetings on the Mediterranean, representing Greece at the EU-Southern Neighbourhood Ministerial Conference, at 16:30 on Thursday, 26 November 2020, and at the 5th Regional Forum of the Union for the Mediterranean, at 11:30 on Friday, 27 November 2020.
The strategic objective of both meetings, which are being hosted officially in Barcelona by the Spanish Minister of Foreign Affairs, Arancha González Laya, and co-chaired by the EU High Representative for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy, Josep Borrell, is to jumpstart and strengthen the partnerships between the European Union and third countries of the Mediterranean.
