The Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs for Diaspora Greeks, Antonis Diamataris, met on Thursday, 12 September, with His Eminence Archbishop Damianos of Sinai, Pharan and Raitho.

During the meeting, the Archbishop provided a brief historical overview of the Sinai Monastery and analysed the issues the Monastery is facing today, including, among other things, the ownership status, the need for support from the Greek state, and the effort to sustain the important relics it has.
