With the participation of a large number of representatives of the business community, institutional and public administration stakeholders, the event titled “Extroversion for a Strong Greece: The Country’s International Presence as a Force for Prosperity, Reliability and Social Progress” was held at The Ellinikon Experience Park. It was moderated by journalist Christina Vidou.

Opening the event, Minister of Foreign Affairs George Gerapetritis highlighted Greece’s strategic role as a pillar of stability, reliability and international influence in an ever-changing geopolitical environment, underscoring the importance of the country’s active foreign policy.

Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs responsible for Economic Diplomacy and Extroversion, Harry Theoharis, presented the vision of “Extroversion 2030”, focusing on new economic diplomacy tools and initiatives aimed at strengthening the presence of Greek businesses in international markets. He emphasized that Greece is no longer merely attracting capital; it is attracting trust. And trust is the strongest currency in the international economy.

The Secretary General for International Economic Affairs and Extroversion, Dimitris Skalkos, subsequently presented the National Strategic Plan for Extroversion 2026–2030. For the first time, the Plan establishes, within a medium-term framework and through measurable quantitative targets, geographical and sectoral priorities for Greece’s economic diplomacy, with a view to effectively supporting the activities of Greek export-oriented enterprises and enhancing the attractiveness of the Greek economy as an investment destination.

The Chief Executive Officer of Enterprise Greece, Marinos Giannopoulos, highlighted the link between the “Brand Greece” strategy and the attraction of high-quality investments. The new Enterprise Greece logo was also unveiled, marking a new era and reflecting the organization’s evolving role in promoting extroversion, attracting investment and strengthening the country’s international economic presence.

The Chief Executive Officer of Export Credit Greece (ECG), Nikolaos Vayiannis, referred to the importance of ECG’s insurance coverage for exporting businesses, presenting the flexible credit insurance solutions offered by the company. He underscored the need for cooperation among exporting companies, insurance providers and financial institutions in order to provide more effective support to Greece’s export community.

A common conclusion shared by all speakers was that extroversion is not merely an economic choice but a national strategy that enhances the country’s competitiveness, creates new growth opportunities and contributes to the prosperity of society.

The event concluded with the message that Greece today possesses the resources, partnerships and human capital required to secure an even stronger presence in the international arena, transforming the challenges of the present era into opportunities for progress and development.
