Foreign Minister Droutsas to visit Berlin (22 March 2011)

Foreign Minister Dimitris Droutsas will be in Berlin on Tuesday, 22 March 2011.

In the morning, he will meet with German Foreign Minister Guido Westerwelle, with whom he is to discuss matters of bilateral interest – particularly of an economic nature – and developments in Libya, ahead of the European Council this Thursday and Friday.

During his stay in Berlin, Mr. Droutsas will also participate in an event being organized by the Social Democratic Party of Germany (SPD) at the Friedrich Ebert Foundation, where he will deliver a speech on the economic and financial crisis and its impact on the EU. Also participating in the event will be the President of the SPD parliamentary group, Mr. Steinmeier, and Luxembourg Foreign Minister Asselborn.

Mr. Droutsas will also participate in a meeting of the SPD parliamentary group at the Budestag.
