The Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs, Ioannis Loverdos, delivered a speech at the event on the “Digital Management of the Archive of the Hellenic Institute of Byzantine and Post-Byzantine Studies in Venice,” which took place at the Hellenic Institute of Byzantine and Post-Byzantine Studies.
As the Deputy Minister emphasized, the project will make a decisive contribution to the preservation, promotion, and global visibility of Greek cultural and historical heritage through the use of modern digital technology.
During his visit to Venice, Mr. Loverdos also met with His Eminence Polycarpos, Metropolitan of Italy and Exarch of Southern Europe as well as representatives of the Greek diaspora.
