Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs, Yiannis Loverdos, visited Cyprus on Tuesday, July 28, to attend, on behalf of the Greek Government, the opening ceremony of the World Conference of Diaspora Cypriots.
In his address, the Deputy Minister referred to the unity of Hellenism worldwide and the close cooperation between Greece and Cyprus on diaspora issues, emphasizing the unwavering commitment of our country to the resolution of the Cyprus issue.
On the sidelines of the visit, the Deputy Minister had the opportunity to meet with the President of the Republic of Cyprus, Nikos Christodoulides, with whom he exchanged views on recent developments regarding the Cyprus issue.
Finally, Mr. Loverdos visited the Embassy of Greece in Nicosia, where he met with the members of the Greek Diplomatic Mission.
