Within the framework of the Strategic Plan for Greeks Abroad 2024–2027, and with the aim of supporting and developing diaspora networks and structures, preserving elements of Greek identity, and strengthening the teaching of the Greek language, history, tradition, and culture, the hospitality and Greek language programs implemented in 2026 by the General Secretariat for Greeks Abroad and Public Diplomacy of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs for the Greek diaspora are being expanded with the addition of a camp for young adults aged 18–30 on the island of Lemnos.
The General Secretariat covers participation expenses, excluding the travel costs of participants to and from their place of residence.
Interested individuals are kindly requested to contact the competent local Consular or Diplomatic Authorities of Greece.
More specifically, the following hospitality, Greek language, and thematic programs will be implemented:
- SUMMER CAMP PROGRAM FOR CHILDREN AGED 8–12 IN AGIOS NIKOLAOS, HALKIDIKI
- HOSPITALITY PROGRAM FOR YOUNG MEMBERS OF THE GREEK DIASPORA AGED 18–25
- HOSPITALITY PROGRAM FOR SENIOR MEMBERS OF THE GREEK DIASPORA AGED 65–75
- GREEK LANGUAGE PROGRAM IN COOPERATION WITH THE UNIVERSITY OF IOANNINA FOR YOUTH AGED 18–25
- GREEK LANGUAGE PROGRAM IN COOPERATION WITH THE UNIVERSITY OF IOANNINA FOR YOUTH FROM THE WORLD COUNCIL OF EPIROTES ABROAD
- GREEK LANGUAGE PROGRAM IN COOPERATION WITH THE UNIVERSITY OF WESTERN MACEDONIA FOR YOUTH AGED 18–25
- HERITAGE SURF CAMP FOR YOUNG MEMBERS OF THE GREEK DIASPORA IN LEMNOS FOR 25 YOUNG MEN AND WOMEN AGED 18–30
- ENVIRONMENTAL PROGRAM FOR 35 YOUNG MEN AND WOMEN AGED 18–25
- TRADITIONAL DANCE LEARNING PROGRAM IN COOPERATION WITH THE LYCEUM CLUB OF GREEK WOMEN FOR 40 MEMBERS OF THE GREEK DIASPORA AGED 20–65
