Minister of Foreign Affairs Nikos Dendias will travel to Benghazi, Libya, tomorrow, 12 April, for consecutive meetings with Deputy Prime Minister Hussein Atiya Abdul Hafeez Al Qatrani, the Mayor of Benghazi, Saqr Bujwari, and the Speaker of the Libyan House of Representatives, Aguila Saleh Issa.
The talks are to focus on the strengthening of bilateral relations and on developments in the region. Matters concerning the coming opening of the Greek Consulate General in Benghazi will also be discussed.
Joint statements are to follow the meeting with the Deputy Prime Minister (12.00, Greek time) and the meeting with the Speaker of the House of Representatives (15.30, Greek time).
