The Greek government is absolutely determined to ensure the protection of all the Diplomatic Missions in Greece. Of course, highly strengthened security and guarding measures are also in place in the case of the Embassy of Israel, and Greece’s cooperation with Israel will not be impacted by this attack.
From the very first moment, the Greek Police rushed to the Israeli Embassy for an immediate investigation of the incident. The investigations for locating the perpetrators are under way. The immediate mobilization of the Greek Police, who are fighting terrorism in a coordinated and effective manner, will bring the perpetrators before the Greek justice system.
