Deputy Minister for Foreign Affairs, Alexandra Papadopoulou, and the UK Minister of State for Europe, Stephen Doughty, met today in Athens to carry out the third annual review of the Greece - UK Strategic Bilateral Framework (SBF).
The two Ministers discussed progress under the various SBF pillars, which helped strengthen further Greece-UK bilateral cooperation in support of our shared objectives and in addressing common challenges. Particular focus was placed on current issues of international affairs, including Ukraine and the Middle East, in particular Gaza, and the cooperation of the two countries within the UN Security Council.
Discussions were also held on defence cooperation, migration, law enforcement, trade and investment, tourism, climate and energy security, maritime affairs, as well as on education, culture, science and innovation, digitalization, health and finance.
