"Women, Peace, and Security" - Event at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs (Athens, 1 Akadimias st., "Y. Kranidiotis" Amphitheater, 08.03.2024)

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs is organizing on Friday, March 8 at 10:30 a.m., a discussion titled "Women, Peace, and Security".

The event, which will be addressed by the Minister of Foreign Affairs, George Gerapetritis, is held on the occasion of adopting the first National Action Plan on Women, Peace, and Security (2023-2028), a key pillar of Greece's candidacy as a non-permanent member of the Security Council for the 2025-2026 term.

Speakers at the discussion will be the Secretary General for Equality and Human Rights of the Ministry of Social Cohesion and Family, Dr. Zefi Dimadama; the Professor of the Law School of Athens, President of the National Commission for Human Rights and Director General of the Hellenic Foundation for European and Foreign Policy, Professor Maria Gavouneli; the Ambassador of Canada, Ms. Anna-Karine Asselin; the Ambassador of South Africa, Dr. Lindiwe Gail Msengana-Ndlela; and the Director-General of International Organizations and International Security and Cooperation of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Ambassador Maria Theofili.
