Alternate Foreign Minister Spyros Flogaitis met in Brussels today, Tuesday, 15 September, with the High Representative of the European Union for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy, Federica Mogherini.
During the meeting there was a discussion of issues concerning the European Union’s Common Foreign and Security Policy, including the crisis in the Middle East and in Syria. Particular emphasis was put on the external dimension of the ongoing migration and refugee crisis, and in particular on the ways in which the Foreign Affairs Council can help to more effectively address both the crisis and its root causes.
