Alternate Foreign Minister Euclid Tsakalotos received the Bulgarian Ambassador to Athens, Emilia Kraleva, at the Foreign Ministry today. The very good level of cooperation between the two countries was reaffirmed during the meeting, and there was a discussion of issues of bilateral political, economic and energy relations.
Mr. Tsakalotos briefed his collocutor on issues within his competency and expressed the government’s will to emphasize the exercising and expansion of economic diplomacy.
Ms. Kraleva referred to the important position of Greek investments in Bulgaria, as well as to the role played by Greek banks in Bulgaria, which represent some 30% of the country’s banking system.
