The Alternate Foreign Minister for European Affairs, Nikos Xydakis, met at the Foreign Ministry today with the Italian Ambassador to Greece, Luigi Efisio Marras.
During the meeting, which took place as a follow-up to the visit from the Italian State Secretary to the Prime Minister, competent for European Affairs, Sandro Gozi, the two men reaffirmed the excellent relations between the two countries.
In the discussion that followed, they considered the potential for cooperation and transfer of know-how in sectors and on issues of regional administration and development, agricultural cooperatives for targeted production and distribution of products, as well as management of cultural heritage.
Reference was also made to the refugee and migration issue and the potential for drawing up a comprehensive European plan.
