Alternate Minister of Foreign Affairs Giorgos Katrougalos today met with and hosted a working luncheon for Romania’s Minister for European Affairs, Victor Negrescu.
Discussion focused on issues concerning better coordination between the two countries during the Bulgarian and Romanian Presidencies of the Council of the European Union (first half of 2018 and first half of 2019, respectively). Issues related to the future of Europe, ahead of the EU Summit Meeting, and matters concerning the refugee and migration issue, were also discussed.
During the luncheon, bilateral economic relations were discussed and ways to strengthen the cooperation between the two countries were sought.
