Alternate Minister of Foreign Affairs Miltiadis Varvitsiotis holds a videoconference with the State Secretary of the Ministry of Foreign and European Affairs of Slovakia, Martin Klus (24 June 2020)

The Alternate Minister of Foreign Affairs and Chairman of the Committee of Ministers of the Council of Europe, Miltiadis Varvitsiotis, today held a videoconference with the State Secretary of the Ministry of Foreign and European Affairs of Slovakia, Martin Klus. The videoconference took place in the context of the Greek Chairmanship of the Council of Europe.

During their online talks, and having reaffirmed the very good relations between the two countries, they discussed the current Greek Chairmanship in depth. The Alternate Minister of Foreign Affairs briefed the Slovak State Secretary on our country's priorities for the May-November 2020 semester. They then discussed European issues, focusing on migration, and the further deepening of cooperation between the two countries.

Finally, Mr. Varvitsiotis accepted Mr. Klus’s invitation to visit Bratislava for consultations.
