Alternate Foreign Minister Miltiadis Varvitsiotis is departing for Brussels tomorrow in order to attend the meeting of the General Affairs Council, to be held on Tuesday, 22 September 2020. The purpose of the meeting is to prepare for the Special European Council to be held on 24 and 25 September. The GAC agenda also includes the multiannual financial framework and the recovery package, negotiations on the future relationship between the EU and the UK, as well as the coordination of COVID-19-related measures in the EU.
