Alternate Minister of Foreign Affairs for European Affairs, Mr. Miltiadis Varvitsiotis will participate tomorrow, Tuesday, October 19, in the EU General Affairs Council to be held in Luxembourg.
The discussion will focus on the preparation of the European Council to be held on October 21 and 22. In particular, the Council will exchange views on the Draft Conclusions which include pandemic management, digital transformation, energy prices, migration and external relations.
The agenda of the General Affairs Council also includes a discussion on the annual Rule of Law Dialogue, while the Slovenian Presidency will inform Ministers about the latest developments regarding the Conference on the Future of Europe.
Following the General Affairs Council meeting, the Alternate Minister will accompany Prime Minister Kyriakos Mitsotakis to Brussels, where the European Council will take place.
Earlier, on Wednesday, October 20, 2021, Mr. Varvitsiotis will participate in an online event for the exchange of views and ideas on the Future of Europe with the participation of Greek officials working in European Institutions.
