Today marks the 17th anniversary of the untimely death of Giannos Kranidiotis.
Throughout his diplomatic and political career Giannos Kranidiotis served the interests of Hellenism selflessly and consistently while being decisively instrumental in the accession of the Republic of Cyprus to the European Union.
As negotiations are ongoing for a just and viable solution to the Cyprus issue, we are once again honoring the memory and diplomatic legacy of Giannos Kranidiotis and pursue efforts so that his vision to have the island reunite and Turkish troops leave materialize.
The solution to the Cyprus problem cannot but take into account the given facts created by the participation of Cyprus in the EU, which Giannos worked tirelessly and effectively for.
