Deputy FM Amanatidis meets with Austrian Ambassador Andrea Ikić-Böhm (Foreign Ministry, 20 November 2015)

Deputy Foreign Minister Ioannis Amanatidis met at the Foreign Ministry today with the Austrian Ambassador to Greece, Andrea Ikić-Böhm.

During the meeting, agreement was ascertained regarding the exceptional level of relations between the two countries. The discussion centered mainly on current developments concerning the issue of increased refugee influxes, as well as on the course of the implementation of our country’s economic reform programme, regarding which the Austrian Ambassador expressed her appreciation of the progress that has been made in recent months.

The Austrian Ambassador congratulated our country on the election of Dimitris Raikos to the UN Appeals Tribunal and noted the positive contribution of the Conference on “Religious and Cultural Pluralism and Peaceful Coexistence in the Middle East” to the interfaith dialogue.

Finally, ways were sought to further expand bilateral cooperation, particularly in the areas of educational and cultural relations.
