Deputy Foreign Minister Ioannis Amanatidis visited the French Consulate in Thessaloniki today to express his condolences regarding the terrorist attack in Paris.
His message was as follows:
“The aim of terrorists is to drag Europe into a Dark Age of horror and divisions. The defence of the principles – which France defends – of humanism and democracy is our duty, too. Expressing my deep grief and condolences, I am certain that together we can defend these shared principles.”
Earlier, Mr. Amanatidis lit a symbolic candle at the entrance to the French Institute of Thessaloniki, in memory of the victims of the attack, participating in the show of support for the French people.
