Deputy Foreign Minister Dimitris Kourkoulas met today, Monday, 6 October, with a delegation from the U.S. House of Representatives, made up of Paul Cook (Republican) and Loretta Sanchez (Democrat).
During the meeting, the excellent level of bilateral relations was ascertained, and there was a discussion of issues of regional security, Greek-U.S. relations and economic developments in the Eurozone. The members of the House of Representatives expressed their appreciation of Greece’s efforts toward a definitive exit from the crisis and of our country’s contribution to the stability of the Balkans and the wider Eastern Mediterranean region.
Special mention was made of the active role played by the Greek American community as a bridge of friendship and a tool for deepening the cooperation between the two countries.
