Deputy Foreign Minister Dimitris Kourkoulas will participate on Tuesday, 18 November, in the EU General Affairs Council (GAC), in Brussels. The GAC will deal with preparations for the December European Council, which will focus on economic and social policy and the new European Commission President’s proposals for bolstering investments.
The GAC will look at, among other things, issues concerning the rule of law in the European Union and, more specifically, ideas and proposals regarding the process for safeguarding the fundamental values of the European Union.
Finally, the GAC agenda includes issues concerning the energy market and climate change, in light of the adoption of the “2030 Package”, as well as the strengthening of cooperation between institutional organs and the programming for the coming legislative period.
