Deputy FM Kourkoulas to visit Egypt (3-5 December 2014)

Deputy Foreign Minister Dimitris Kourkoulas will be in Egypt from Wednesday to Friday, 3 to 5 December 2014, to participate in the 8th Greek-Egyptian Joint Interministerial Committee.

Mr. Kourkoulas will be accompanied by representatives of the Ministries of Health, Rural Development & Food, and Shipping & the Aegean, as well as by representatives of Enterprise Greece, the Athens Chamber of Commerce and Industry, the Piraeus Port Authority, Port Authority Alexandroupolis, the Union of Hellenic Chambers, and the Association of Greek Tourism Enterprises.

Business executives from the sectors of construction and building materials, agricultural products and aquaculture, and informatics and technology will also be participating in the delegation, along with representatives from the sectors of environmental technology, energy, business consultancy, and tourism, in order to attend the Business Forum being co-organized by the Egyptian Business Association and the Commercial Affairs Bureau of the Greek Embassy in Cairo.

On Thursday, 4 December, Mr. Kourkoulas will open the proceedings of the “Egypt-Greece Business Forum” and sign a bilateral Economic and Technical Cooperation Protocol, as well as Greek-Egyptian bilateral agreements on sports cooperation, agricultural cooperation and cooperation in the sectors of aquaculture, airline services, and human resources.

On the margins of the Business Forum, and in addition to the interstate agreements, agreements will be signed between the Unions of Chambers, Investment Attraction Agencies, and Port Authorities.

Finally, during his visit to Cairo, Mr. Kourkoulas will meet with International Cooperation Minister Naglaa El Ahwani and Transport Minister Hany Sayed Mohamed Dahy.
