Deputy Foreign Minister Kostas Tsiaras will be carrying out an official visit to Australia from Friday, 1 March, to Sunday, 10 March 2013.
On 1 and 2 March, Mr. Tsiaras will be in Perth, where he will meet with Greek Australian community leaders and have talks with members of the Greek Australian Council of Western Australia.
Mr. Tsiaras will then travel to Melbourne (3-4 March), where he will meet with the Premier of Victoria, Ted Bailieu, and Greek Australian Minister for Multicultural Affairs and Citizenship Nikolaos Kotsiras. He will also have talks with the Greece-Victoria Parliamentary Friendship Committee, with Victoria MPs and Victoria MPs of Greek origin attending. Mr. Tsiaras will then meet with His Grace Bishop Ezekiel of Dervis.
In Adelaide (5-6 March), Mr. Tsiaras will have meetings with South Australia Premeir Jay Weatherill, Minister Tom Koutsantonis, and prominent entrepreneurs and members of the Greek community. In the framework of his visit to Adelaide, he will attend a working luncheon with the South Australia-Greece Parliamentary Friendship Committee, afterwards meeting with His Grace Nikandros Bishop of Dorileou.
On 6 and 7 March, Mr. Tsiaras will be in Brisbane, where he will meet with the Queensland Minister for Multicultural Affairs, Glen Elens, and on 9 and 10 March he will be in Sidney, where he will meet with His Eminence Archbishop Stylianos and attend a working luncheon with Greek Australian entrepreneurs.
