Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs, Andreas Katsaniotis received today in his office the Ambassador of Kazakhstan, Yerlan Baudarbek - Kozhatayev.
During the meeting, the two sides highlighted the excellent level of bilateral relations based on historic ties of friendship and mutual respect as well as the fact that this year marks 30 years since the establishment of diplomatic relations between Greece and Kazakhstan. Special reference was made to the long-standing Greek presence in Kazakhstan and the presence of a Kazakh community in Greece. The role and potential of the respective Diasporas in further strengthening and enhancing bilateral cooperation in a wide range of areas, including culture and public diplomacy, were also emphasized.
