JOURNALIST: We are now waiting for the arrival of 50 Greeks and Cypriots, can you describe the process to us and why did a special flight have to be chartered for this purpose?
A. KATSANIOTIS: 50 Greek and Cypriot citizens and their families are now arriving on a special charter flight from Romania. It is a joint operation of the Ministries of Foreign Affairs of Greece and Cyprus. From Odessa and Kyiv they travelled by road to Romania and from there they are arriving here by charter flight.
JOURNALIST: Had a special security operation been arranged to initially transport them by road to Romania?
A. KATSANIOTIS: What is important in these cases is to ensure security on the ground; to ensure the way so that Greek citizens can leave safely. That's done, they arrived in Romania and a special flight was chartered for them to come to Greece. Now they are coming here, so their adventure ends in a positive way.
JOURNALIST: Was there any other process? Are there others?
A. KATSANIOTIS: The process for us is to assess the situation on the ground and, depending on what is happening on the ground, take the appropriate decisions.
JOURNALIST: Did these people face any danger?
A. KATSANIOTIS: I assume you all see what is happening in Ukraine right now. You realize that the possibility of an accident is always present. Thankfully, it all ended well.
