Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs Antonis Diamataris hosted a farewell luncheon today in honour of the Ambassador of the Republic of Chile, Maria Pia Busta Diaz. In his brief address, the Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs praised Ambassador Diaz’s work, and especially her dedication to deepening bilateral relations during her four years in Greece.
“Despite the great geographical distance that separates Greece from Chile, the two countries maintain strong ties based on shared principles and values, which is reflected in the coincidence of their views on major international issues. Similarly, on the multilateral level, the two countries work closely in various international organizations, and especially at the UN,” Mr. Diamataris underscored.
The luncheon was attended by the Portuguese Ambassador, Rui Alberto Manuppella Tereno, Slovenian Ambassador Anita Pipan, the Ambassador of the People’s Democratic Republic of Algeria, Dr. Noureddine Bardad-Daidj, Canadian Ambassador Mark Allen, and ministry officials.
