Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs Konstantinos Vlasis talks by phone with the heads of Greek Embassies and Consulates around the world

In recent weeks, Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs Konstantinos Vlasis has talked by telephone with all of the heads of Greece’s Embassies and Consular missions throughout the world. During these talks, he was briefed on the spread of the coronavirus pandemic in each respective country, the problems faced by diaspora Greeks throughout this time, and the general prospects for tourist arrivals in Greece in the coming time.

The Deputy Minister also talked to the heads of missions about issues bearing on the smooth operation of Consular Missions in the context of the wider effort to reduce bureaucracy through the use of digital technology.

These telephone conversations are a follow-up to the videoconference held on 15 April 2020 with the heads of fifteen Consular Missions and are aimed at closer coordination between the political leadership and the staff of the Foreign Service of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
