Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs for Economic Diplomacy and Openness, Kostas Fragogiannis, will travel to New York in order to participate in the High-Level Week of the 78th Session of the United Nations General Assembly.
The Deputy Minister will represent Greece at the High-Level Summit on Sustainable Development and the High-Level Dialogue on Financing for Development, both of which will take place on September 18-20.
In particular, Mr. Fragogiannis will participate in a roundtable on "Innovative Solutions for Unlocking Investment in the Sustainable Development Goals" and the sub-session "Innovative Approaches and Partnerships to Boost Private Finance for the Sustainable Development Goals".
Mr. Fragogiannis will also participate in the Prime Minister Kyriakos Mitsotakis’ schedule, accompanying him to his bilateral meeting with the President of South Korea, Yoon Suk Yeol, as well as to his contacts with entrepreneurs and potential investors. Additionally, the Deputy Minister will hold a working breakfast with hedge fund representatives, as well as a meeting with Amazon’s senior executives.
During his stay in New York, Mr. Fragogiannis will also meet with the Deputy Foreign Minister of Türkiye and his interlocutor on the “Positive Agenda” issues, Burak Akçapar.
Lastly, the Deputy Minister will hold bilateral meetings with counterparts of his from other countries responsible for investment, including with the UAE’s Minister of Industry and Advanced Technology, Sultan Ahmed Al Jaber.
