Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Venizelos’ doorstep statement on arrival at the EU-Western Balkans Informal Ministerial Conference (Thessaloniki, 8 May 2014)

“The Ministerial Meeting we are holding today, in Thessaloniki, with the participation of the EU members states and the countries of the Western Balkans, is an excellent opportunity to renew and underscore our commitment to and desire for the whole region’s Euroatlantic perspective. This is important for the stability, development and prosperity of the whole Western Balkan Region. And I am pleased because the “Thessaloniki Agenda 2014”, which was the basic result of the 2003 Hellenic Presidency of the Council of the European Union, is now taking on fresh momentum during this Presidency.”
