Within the framework of his participation in the Ministerial Week of the 69th UN General Assembly, in New York, Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Evangelos Venizelos will participate at 08:00 (local time) tomorrow, Tuesday, 23 September, in the opening ceremony of the Climate Change Summit, which is being hosted by UN Secretary General Ban Ki-moon.
Mr. Venizelos will then take part, at 11:00 (local time), in the Ministerial Consultation on the Humanitarian and Development Situation in Syria and its neighbouring countries, which is being organized by the European Union, the United Kingdom, and Jordan.
At 13:30 (local time), Mr. Venizelos will attend a High-Level luncheon within the framework of the Climate Summit.
At 16:00 (local time) Mr. Venizelos will participate in a Meeting of the Foreign Ministers of the European Union.
Finally, at 17:00 (local time), Mr. Venizelos will attend a reception being hosted by the President of the United States of America, Barak Obama, and his wife, Michelle Obama, for the heads of delegations to the UN General Assembly.
