Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Evangelos Venizelos made the following statement regarding the parliamentary elections in Tunisia:
“We congratulate the people of Tunisia on the parliamentary elections that were carried out flawlessly. Nearly four years after the revolution of 2011, and a few months after the adoption of the Tunisian Constitution, these elections constitute yet another historic step towards completion of the political transition in the country, also showing the political maturity and will of the people of Tunisia in this direction. Greece will continue to stand by in aid of this effort, which is a model for imitation in the wider region.”
