Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Venizelos’ statement on the passing of Theodore Spyropoulos

Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Evangelos Venizelos made the following statement yesterday, 25 September, after hearing the news of the loss of the prominent Greek American and Coordinator of the World Council of Hellenes Abroad (SAE) in the U.S., Theodore Spyropoulos:

“I had long collaborated with the late Theodore Spyropoulos, and I am truly sorry to hear of his death. It is a loss for Hellenism. He helped from the outset with all the activities of organized Hellenism Abroad, the World Council of Hellenes Abroad, and I can say that, literally, from this perspective, the Hellenism of America is poorer for his passing.”
