Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Evangelos Venizelos talked by telephone today with the Foreign Minister of the Republic of Cyprus, Ioannis Kasoulides, regarding U.S. Vice President Joe Biden’s visit to Cyprus.
Mr. Kasoulides briefed Mr. Venizelos in depth and reiterated that the Cypriot government sees Mr. Biden’s visit as having been historic, due to his clear statements regarding the Republic of Cyprus’s international status and its critical role in the stability and security of the Mediterranean.
