Event marking the 200th anniversary of Ioannis Kapodistrias’s contribution to shaping Switzerland’s federal state system and the centenary of the death of the Swiss Philhellene banker Eynard (4 July 2014, Kranidiotis Amphitheatre, 1 Akadimias St.)

At 11:30 on Friday, 4 July, an event is being held at the Foreign Ministry’s Kranidiotis Amphitheatre to mark the 200th anniversary Ioannis Kapodistrias’s contribution to shaping Switzerland’s federal state system and the centenary of the death of the Swiss Philhellene banker Jean-Gabriel Eynard.

The event, which will be attended by Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Evangelos Venizelos, will include the presentation of a Hellenic Post collectible commemorative stamp album.

The purpose of the philatelic publication is to point up aspects of the work of Kapodistrias and Eynard, who contributed decisively to the strengthening Greek-Swiss relations.
