In the framework of the high-level Week of the UNGA in New York, Foreign Minister Nikos Kotzias had a meeting, on Wednesday September 21, with Qatari Foreign Minister Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdulrahman bin Jassim Al-Thani.
The two Ministers exchanged views on regional and international issues, as well on ways to further boost bilateral cooperation and discussed potential exchanges of candidacies in International Organizations.
Foreign Minister N. Kotzias briefed his counterpart on the outcomes of the recent Rhodes Conference for Security & Stability and informed him of the shared will on the part of participating countries to include the Gulf Cooperation Council members in the next Conference, which is expected to be held in Rhodes in 2017.
The Minister of Foreign Affairs, lastly, extended an invitation to his counterpart to visit Athens and pointed out the need for more intensive political dialogue and consultations between the two Foreign Ministries.
