Foreign Minister N. Kotzias' statement to journalists following his meeting with the UN Secretary-General within the framework of the International Conference on Cyprus (Crans-Montana, 6 July 2017)

We are in difficult negotiations. The Greek side has defended the Law, the International Law; it has defended Cyprus's right to be a sovereign and independent state. We are still in the midst of the negotiation process, which will continue this evening, at the meeting of the heads of the delegations and the dinner with the UN Secretary-General. We think we have done whatever we can in these negotiations. You know that, three times, we saved the negotiations from collapsing. But these negotiations have to be based on the law of humanity, of states, of peoples, and on International law. Thank you very much.
