N. KOTZIAS: I want to thank Cypriot diplomacy and the Republic of Cyprus
for hosting us here today. In our trilateral meeting, we prepared for
the trilateral meeting that will take place in Athens between Egypt,
Cyprus and Greece. Our main concern is the prosperity of our peoples,
the stability and stabilization of the region, the fight against
extremism, and the protection of all of the communities that exist
throughout the Middle East – both cultural and religious communities. I
renewed my invitation to my two esteemed colleagues to come to Athens
from 18 to 20 October, when we will be holding the Conference on
Religious and Cultural Pluralism and Peaceful Coexistence in the Middle
East. We took a further step today, as will be clear from the trilateral
Declaration that will be made public tomorrow, in the direction of
greater development of our friendship and our joint concern for and
efforts to promote peace in our region.
JOURNALIST: Do we have a date for the meeting on the level of Heads of State?
N.
KOTZIAS: We will provide one soon, and, in fact, that meeting will be
preceded by a visit from Egyptian President Sisi, to whom Prime Minister
Alexis Tsipras extended an invitation at their meeting this morning.
Thank you very much.
