On Monday, 18 July, Foreign Minister Nikos Kotzias will represent Greece at a working breakfast of EU Foreign Minister with U.S. Secretary of State John Kerry, during which there will be a discussion of the Middle East peace process, the current situation in Syria and Libya, relations with Russia and Ukraine, and preparation for the High-Level Conference on Migration being organized by the U.S. within the framework of the UN General Assembly in September, in New York City.
Mr. Kotzias will then participate in the proceedings of the EU Foreign Affairs Council (FAC). The FAC agenda includes a strategic discussion of EU-Latin America relations, the Union’s new strategy on China, migration, and the EU’s Global Strategy.
Finally, Mr. Kotzias will participate in the EU-Gulf Cooperation Council (EU-GCC) Ministerial Meeting, which will conclude with a working dinner on the evening of the 18 July. The agenda for the Ministerial includes the situation in Iraq, Syria, Libya, Yemen and the overall EU-GCC relationship.
