We welcome the achievement of an agreement on a mutual and definitive ceasefire between the government of Colombia and the FARC organization, and we express our undivided support for the peace process the country is entering into.
The consistent implementation of the provisions of this historic agreement by all involved parties will usher in a new era for the friendly Colombian people, creating the conditions for social development and the successful surmounting of the repercussions of the long conflict that has marked the country’s recent history.
