"The Council of Europe's European Court of Human Rights yesterday elected Greek Judge and Professor Linos-Alexandre Sicilianos to a three-year term as Vice-President of the Court. He will assume his new duties as of 1 May 2017.
The well-deserved election of Mr. Sicilianos, a respected legal expert of international renown and Professor of international law at the University of Athens, is an honour for both himself and Greece.
The Foreign Ministry congratulates Mr. Sicilianos on his election and wishes him every success in his new position."
