“We unequivocally condemn the abhorrent and provocative action that took place today outside the Hellenic-Arab Educational Center in Moschato. This provocative action, which was obviously aimed at spreading hatred and intolerance, is an insult not only to our Muslim fellow human beings, but also to the whole of Greek society, the vast majority of which condemns and marginalizes this extremist conduct.
We express our certainty that the perpetrators of this xenophobic incident, which is aimed at undermining the climate of peaceful coexistence in Greek society, amongst the faithful of all religions and doctrines, will be found and brought before the competent judicial authority at the soonest possible time. This brazen attack will not succeed in damaging the traditionally excellent relations between the Greek people and the Arab and Muslim world.”
