Foreign Ministry spokesman Gregory Delavekouras made the following statement in response to journalists’ questions regarding claims that the Turkish National Assembly recently passed a law on a change in the status of priests of the Ecumenical Patriarchate in Turkey:
“These claims do not correspond to reality.”
